Speaking on Friday during the StateCraft Masterclass event at the Social Media Week, Lagos, Saraki said his assets declaration trial is more of ‘persecution’ than an actual fight against corruption.

When asked by Declan Galvin of Sahara Reporters why he had thus far, failed to walk away from the position of Senate President, he said: “It is not a fight against corruption, it is more about being persecuted.”

He further stated that: “We are public servants and you must fill your asset declaration form when you get in office and I did mine 13 years ago.”

“The charges have nothing to do with corruption or money being stolen anywhere and that is why at the end of the day, I will have my day in court. Because it is not about corruption.” “I don’t understand how the same organisation that cleared my asset declaration to be proper in 2004, 2009 and 2011 can suddenly wake up and say that my record is faulted.” The Senate President however, declined to say who is persecuting him with the assets declaration trial.

She got a new and fresh apartment, was reunited with her hobby, got an interview on CNN, became a motivational speaker, has featured in numerous photo shoots just to remain in the news…and a myriad of other motivations and rewards. Her benefactor,T.Y bello also featured in the show as many “Nigerians” kept showering praises on her…her act also prompted some celebrities to follow suit in turning around lives..

Yesterday, the University of Lagos unveiled their record setting graduate… Who hit the target by attaining a 5.0 CGPA. This guy failed to get less than an A in all his numerous courses throughout his undergraduate years. That’s a hell of achievement and as usual the media is reporting it but not like that of the Breadseller turned Model’s story..Why? That’s because Nigerians will become adamant and hypocritic judge instantly cause his success was not inspired by a notable celebrity.

No T.Y Bello, Olamide, Don Jazzy, in his story..Hmm, No interviews on CNN, so far it’s been just a mention on NTA. No photoshoots (Lolz..that may not be necessary though), No academic oriented firm or NGO is reporting or commending him “visibly” plus the fact that some folks are commonising this laudable feat and making dumb cracks with it..

Anyway, this is not the first time this beauty and the brain ratings is taking the space and as usual, we all know which will win..

Just that I feel if we want to develop as a nation, I mean if we wanna leave the stage of the developing nations to the developed ones.. We need to reward and promote people with the brain.

Barca pens new deal for neymar, To Become Highest Paid Footballer In The World

Barcelona forward, Neymar has put pen to paper on a new deal with Barcelona that will keep him at the club for five more years, according to a report from his homeland. The Brazilian will stay with the club till 2021, putting rest to contract talks that have dragged on for months, ESPN Brazil reports.

The new contract is expected to put paid to interest from top European clubs who have made known their interest in the 24-year-old, especially Manchester United.

The Old Trafford team has consistently shown interest in the player, including expressing willingness to meet his massive £144 million buy-out clause.

While the terms of his new deal have not been made public, the club expressed willingness to double the player’s wages in October 2015. That should fetch him an amount believed to be in the region of £500,000 per week, an unprecendented figure, if the new deal is anything close to the October offer.

Neymar, the third of Barcelona’s three-prong attack that also includes Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, has netted 77 goals in 125 appearances for the club.

NOTICE!!! 2016 JAMB UTME Scores Will Be Released In 30 Minutes – Dibu Ojerinde

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde has stated that candidates participating in the 2016 Computer based Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, UTME, will get their results after 30 minutes of the examination.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the examination, Ojerinde said that candidates will receive a graphical result of the test via SMS on their mobile phone numbers which they provided during registration. However, the JAMB boss added that the specific scores will be released within the period of four days and would be checked online.

Analyzing the statistics of UTME registration, Ojerinde said there had been a steady decline since 2013 when the CBT was introduced.

In 2013, about 1.7 million people registered for UTME, in 2014, the number fell to 1.6 million, while about 1.4 million registered in 2015 examination. However, this year the numbers of candidates who registered has increased to over 1.5 million.
