A Nigerian pilot named Ademilola Odujinrin is set to make history as the first African to fly around the world alone. This historical journey will happen in April according to Demilola who said he's put everything in place to ensure a hitch-free journey. He said his solo expedition will begin in Lagos and take him round the 7 continents of the world. It will take 6 weeks to complete and he will end his journey in Lagos sometime in May.“The project aims to inspire Nigeria’s teeming population to begin to conceive a world without borders with unbridled dreams to transform the Nigerian narrative while shattering all stereotypes. The planned solo expedition will be achieved flying the aircraft, Cirrus SR22. It has a total payload of about 439kg. This particular aircraft with registration number N313CD has been specifically modified for this journey with additional long-range tanks and a HF radio installed for longer stretches of the journey,’’ he said.
Demilola said he's currently undergoing physical and psychological training to prepare him for the challenges of operating a flight without any assistance for six weeks. The operation will cost about a million dollars according to Transcend project, who are supporting the project.

Surely a burglary can't get any worse than having to turn yourself in while in the process. That was the experience of 20-year-old Lauren Fox who somehow managed to get herself stuck in a chimney while breaking into a home in Spring, Texas.
She had to call for rescue after spending 45 minutes in the chimney...and it took another 45 minutes for first responders to free her. She told police she tried entering the house because she was cold but no one is buying her yarn. She is now being charged with criminal trespass.
The young woman was seen smiling as police led her to the squad car and only suffered minor scratches and bumps.
Fox is an aspiring singer, and wrote on her Facebook page earlier this month; 'A special thanks to all of my true friends & family who are sticking by my side in my music career!! I need all of the support I can get! xoxo'

Fred Shekoufeh looks a lot older than 15, but then again his son, Eric, doesn't look four either.
Shekoufeh and son, who live in La Mesa, California, share a unique bond that goes beyond genetics: They were both born on February 29.
Eric is celebrating his 5th official birthday while his dad is celebrating his 15th on the same day. Both father and son were born on February 29, an event that has a 1 in 2.1 million chance of happening, according to Time.com.
Fred Shekoufeh, a native of Iran, didn't realize his birthday was unusual until 1979 when he moved to the U.S. and immigration officials commented on it.
It wasn't clear at first. "It's confusing," Shekoufeh told HuffPost.
Eric Shekoufeh said sharing such an unusual birthday with his dad is "pretty incredible," but admits being born on February 29 has some challenges.
"I get lots of jokes about whether I should celebrate on Feb. 28 or March 1," Eric said, adding that he tries to stretch it out on both days.
"It's a weird day. People don't recognize it on social media, but when they find out, they never forget it."
Eric said his favorite Feb. 29th birthday was in 2012, when he turned "four."
"Everyone and their mother made a joke about me turning four, and that four-year-olds shouldn't be able to drive cars. Well, evidently I could," he said. "I was glad to have an actual birthday on such on emphatic year: getting a license. No confusion at the DMV. I hope I can say the same when I'm going out for my 21st."
A gunman killed four people in rural Washington state then called the Police to tell them he had shot his family. The Policeman who answered the call, took another officer to the caller's home but he refused to let them in and refused to leave the house.
