Ogun Workers Clash With Policemen while protesting (read)

Protesting Ogun state civil service workers are currently at loggerhead with men of the Nigeria Police and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as the security men halt their planned streets protest against the state government’s inability to pay their deductions among other obligations.

The government had at the weekend ordered the striking workers to report to work on Monday, in a “no work no pay” circular, which was signed by the State Head of Service, Mr. Sola Adeyemi. The workers who arrived as early as 7.00am, met stiff resistance from the security men who stormed the main entrance of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) along Abiola Way to prevent them from protesting.

It was learnt that car belonging to a member of the state House of Assembly, Olayiwola Ojodu was vandalized by the aggrieved protesters. The indefinite strike, which started last week had forced the closure of schools, hospitals and government ministries, agencies.

Ancelotti Reveals How To Stop lionel Messi

Former Chelsea boss, Carlo Ancelotti has finally revealed the secret behind stopping Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi. The world-famous and highly respected tactician, after analyzing and doodling out his plan, came to the conclusion that the only way to stop Messi is to let him have what he wants – goals – because in reality, there is indeed no way to stop the legendary Argentine striker. According to The Sun UK, the former Real Madrid boss used a crudely drawn diagram to illustrate how he instructed his La Liga side to deal with the Argentine wizard.

He explained in his Sina Sports column: “The best way to stop [Messi] is by defending as a team, keeping the space between the lines tight and now allowing him to touch the ball. “You need a lot of players in midfield to make that happen. That reduces Messi’s options and he will see less of the ball, at least in dangerous positions.”

Messi has found the net 36 times this season and was on target this weekend against Getafe — although it may be wise to just foul him and give him a penalty judging his current blues from 12 yards.

Ancelotti continued: “But if Messi is at 100 per cent physically, it is impossible to try to stop him, no matter who the coach is and what his strategy is. “His enormous talent makes it nearly impossible to anticipate what he will do, so there is no way to keep him quiet.”

Hehehe! See All The Items A Female Final Year Student Stole In Moremi Hall, OAU (Photos)

I initially didn’t want to believe this so I called someone i know in OAU and she confirmed it. According to our source, the thief was supposed to be subjected to ‘maximum shishsi’ but maybe because it is a girl involved she escaped the humiliation. Maximum shishi in Obafemi Awolowo University is when a thief is caught, beaten and paraded round the hostels. Boys are stripped to their boxers while girls are paraded with their loot. The girl involved was however fortunate to escape the public shaming because someone had pity on her. Another student who is a victim of the girl’s thievery confirmed the incident, and posted pictures of more items stolen by this ‘legendary’ female thief. See more mind troubling pictures of what just ONE girl stole (She be Expert thief):- See what some Nigerians are saying on Twitter:-

Bad moment! Pupils Fall Out Of School Bus In Lagos (Photos)

Two pupils of New Vine International School, Mushin, Lagos, were flung out of a moving bus driven by the Proprietor, Mr. Ekezie Augustine, at Costain Roundabout, on their way from the National Theatre, Iganmu.

Mr. Ekezie was promptly handed over to the Divisional Traffic Office, Iponri, by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command, for prosecution. According to the school’s Principal, the affected pupils, Seunfunmi Oseni, 4, and Amira Otegbola, 6, were among the 20 that embarked on the journey. The children, who were rushed to Brickfield Medical Centre, at Ademuyiwa Road, Ebute Metta, were referred to Foremost Radiology, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, for brain scan before further treatment. According to an official of Brickfield, “the boy, Seunfunmi, sustained a lot of bruises on his head and leg. He has not walked since he was brought here. We feared he has injured his legs too. He is always folding it and he preferred to be carried.”

Further investigations revealed that the school was not registered with the authorities in Lagos and it had just relocated to its new address in Mushin. However, the Principal said certification of the school was being processed. He added that “the children were over-excited and uncontrollable before the incident happened.” About three teachers were reportedly with the children in the bus on the said day. Vanguard

I am innocent! Cultists Forced Guns On Me, Armed Robbery 22-Year-Old Suspect Claims

A 22-year-old armed robbery suspect in Ilorin, Kwara State, Abdulrafeez Abdulraham has claimed that he was forced into accepting weapons from some fleeing cult members which led to his arrest.

He said he was on his way to a football match around the Araromi area of the state capital when some members of a cult group gave him the arms, causing the Anti-Vice operatives of the Kwara State Police Command to arrest him. “I was going to the field to watch a football match on March 3. Some members of a gang, who were at my back, saw soldiers coming and they ordered me to take the guns from them; that if I did not take the arms, they would kill me.

“I was afraid and I collected the guns from them. Suddenly, the soldiers said we should stop and I threw away the guns, but they arrested me.” The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Okaula, soon after assured the public that the war against cultism in the state is ongoing, and that the police will do everything possible to protect the people of the state from any danger. He urged residents to furnish the police with any information that can lead to the arrest of crime syndicates all over the state.

The suspect, Abdulraheem was paraded with other suspects who also made claims of being framed for various crimes, including cultism.
