According to twitter user resident in Lagos @Stunner_Guy, a primary school teacher did that to his neighbour’s child yesterday. He, however, didn’t give much detail on how exactly the eye injury happened. He wrote “Take a look at what a primary school teacher did to my neighbour’s child today, its disheartening. What can we we do? Help!”he wrote.

A hunter in the South-western part of Nigeria have showcased a rare prowess in handling wild animals which has shocked people.

Hunters from every town in Osun state today 22nd of April 2016 troop in to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the hunters, it was really a merrimentous event to behold, with lot of enthralling event, that will leave one bewildered.

The event which took place in Fakunle Comprehensive High school Osun state, witness a man performing what Marvins called “Janta-manta” the man was seen putting a life snake in his mouth, as a means of entertaining the audience present at the anniversary. Man utd striker, Rooney is worth £82m and earning £300k per week is named Britain's richest young sports star

England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is the richest young sports star in Britain and he is worth £82m according to the Sunday Times. The 2016 Sunday Times Rich List for young sportsmen in Britain (sportsmen under 30 in Britain) which was published this weekend lists 30 year old Rooney as the richest with a value of £82m.

Rooney earns about £300,000-a-week at United, which makes him the highest-paid player in the Barclays Premier League, as well as endorsements with Nike and Samsung. Tennis brothers Andy and Jamie Murray are second with a joint worth of £58m, though £57m of it is contributed by world No 2 Andy. FG has moved closer to ending fuel supply & distribution problem- NNPC

Press statement from NNPC below... The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has recommissioned the Escravos-Warri-Kaduna pipeline stressing that both Warri and Kaduna refineries are now receiving crude simultaneously for the first time in many years.

The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mallam Garba Deen Muhammad in a press statement quoted Dr. Kachikwu as saying that Warri has started working while Kaduna will start production at the end of the month. The Minister noted that this means that for the first time in many years, all the three refineries and major crude pipelines will be working at the same time.

Dr. Kachikwu stated that Escravos terminal is the heart beat of the downstream sector of the industry and critical to local supply of finished petroleum product as both refineries in Warri and Kaduna are majorly fed from Escravos crude stock.

“The challenge of this country is the challenge of focus and stewardship. For the first time in many years the three refineries are going to be working and it will help in a great deal with the issue of fuel supply and distribution across the country and it will go a long way to manage the fuel crisis,’’ Dr. Kachikwu said. He enjoined Nigerians to be more patient as the Corporation is working hard to end fuel shortage across the country.

A male suicide bomber died after a failed attempt to attack Ummarari community in Borno state this morning. According to a statement from the Nigerian Army, the suicide attack was foiled by the vigilant Troops of 7 Division Garrison Forward Operation Base (FOB) and the Civilian JTF. The suicide bomber detonated the strapped Improvised Explosive Device (IED) vest on his body, thus killing himself instantly when he was forced to halt based on suspicion that he was carrying suicide bombing material. This is the Lagos Police Officer Involved In Armed Robbery....

Here is a picture of Lagos police inspector Durojaiye Taiwo who allegedly led a 3-man SARS gang during a robbery in Sagamu, Ogun State on Saturday. The 4 policemen led by Inspector Durojaiye stopped a trailer around midnight on Saturday, they diverted the trailer to Okokomaiko area of Lagos and sold the content for 30 million naira. Unknown to them, the trailer had a tracker.

Leader of the gang, Inspector Durojaiye and two other members of the team escaped, while Victor is being detained in SARS cell in Ikeja. He was arrested after a gun duel with policemen from Okokomaiko. A police source said: “The incident happened on Saturday night. Inspector Durojaiye is the leader of the team. The team is called ‘striking team’. They all came from State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, three months ago to join SARS, Ikeja.

The police officers turned criminals tied the trailer driver and his conductor and bundled them inside their Lexus Jeep before dumping them in a bush at Ijebu Ode. Inspector Durojaiye and 2 Policemen have disappeared while Corporal Victor is cooling off in a cell. Lagos Police Commission, Fatai Owoseni, has ordered his men to produce the fleeing police officers.
