How Robbers Seized My ATM & Cleaned Out My Account in Lagos – Distraught Woman Recounts

A female school teacher saving for her rent has narrated how some hoodlums in the commercial capital of Nigeria, Lagos hijacked her ATM and withdrew all the money in her bank account.

If anyone had told Evi Iwaha when she left home last Friday for a prayer vigil, that she would return home cashless and phoneless, she would most likely have gone for that person’s jugular or labelled him a liar from the pit of hell. But she did run out of luck that fateful Saturday morning on her way back from an all-night prayer at her church Obanikoro, as some fierce-looking men hijacked the bus she was commuting in, took all passengers hostage and proceeded to rob them all of their valuables.

Evi said “It happened a few minutes to 6.00am; I’d boarded a bus supposedly to Oshodi from Obanikoro. No sooner had the bus moved than they sprang into action. The first thing they did was grab my phone; ‘What do you do? Where are you coming from?’ one of them asked. I was hopeful that they’d take pity on me, having told them I was just a primary school teacher. Why bother to ask if it meant nothing to them? After rummaging through my wallet, they found two ATM cards and some cash. The question that followed hit me with a bang. ‘What’s your pin number?’ Instinctively, I hesitated for a while, but a resounding slap on my face soon got me spilling it out. These guys were actually going to do the unimaginable. They were going to clear my account.

“To think that I was about experiencing stories that had seemed far away. I looked up in time to see another member of the gang, sitting in the front seat. They called him officer. I don’t know if he was some military officer or if the name was just a code name. Even though I was still a little dazed from the slap, I couldn’t but notice the gun that hung loosely in the man’s hand, as he spoke to his colleague.

“He quickly handed the ATM cards to another member who played the role of a bus conductor. The driver slowed down at my inquisitor’s command, and the bus conductor jumped off the bus on his way to emptying my accounts. I silently wished I had payed the money into my friend’s account, he had asked me to do so to avoid spending it, since I’m saving towards paying my rent.

“Meanwhile, while we awaited the arrival of the messenger, the bus kept going round and round. In the process, the two women I met on the bus were told to disembark, and two others, a guy and his girlfriend were picked up at the next stop.

“They were lucky, as they didn’t have any ATM card on them. They were ripped of their phones and the only one thousand Naira note the guy had on him. They had also searched the lady who came on at the same time as I did.

Obviously they didn’t get much from her. I was their sacrificial lamb. Soon my phone beeped – an indication that the money had been withdrawn. Then they drove back to the spot where they had dropped off the bus conductor, picked him up and drove off. By all means, it was a smooth operation, and we were home-bound now. I silently prayed that they dropped me off at a safe place.

“All along, I didn’t know where we were because I had been sitting on the floor of the bus. Suddenly, the bus pulled to a stop and we were all told to alight. I discovered that they had dropped us at the toll-gate. My inquisitor who had promised to give me transport money to take me home had either forgotten or couldn’t care less. They zoomed off as soon as we were all out of the bus.

I stood there thinking of how to get to my place in Gbagada, until one good Nigerian who happened to be passing by came to my rescue by giving me N100, my exact fare home.” Evi finished off.

For her it was one incident she had never imagined not to talk of experiencing.

Jealous Husband Baths Wife With With Acid For Leaving Him (See Photo)

… My partner wants to kill me because of jealousy, mother of 2 tells her story. FOR 21-year-old Abimbola Akinola, when she started receiving threat messages from the father of her two children that he was going to kill her, she never believed that it could happen. To her, this was a man she lived with for four years in a relationship that produced two children and a miscarriage.

But reality dawned on her on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, when her ‘husband’, one Adeyemi Adelaja (28), visited her in her parents’ home at Labiran, Oje area of Ibadan and bathed her with acid. But for providence, Abimbola would have been in the morgue by now, if the plan of the kids’ father had succeeded.According to the young lady, the man purposed to pour the acid down her throat, save for the little resistance she was able to put up.

Abimbola is now lying in pains at the Burns Unit of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where she is currently receiving treatment, with the doctors waiting for the right time to take her through treatment that would save her skin from total destruction. According to information gathered by Crime Reports, the relationship between Adeyemi and Abimbola got strained when the former repeatedly abused the mother of his children. This made the young lady to move in with her mother in 2015 to save her life. But this was said to have angered Adeyemi, who, after trying to bring her back to his house in Lagos State, started issuing threat messages to Abimbola through her phone.

In her narration to Crime Reports, Abimbola said: “I got pregnant for Adeyemi when I was in school. We had a misunderstanding since last year. He is too jealous; as a result of this, he would beat me, tear clothes off me and render me Unclad. My mother decided to bring me and my two kids to Ibadan in 2015 after I suffered a miscarriage.

“Since then, he had been sending threat messages to my phone, saying that he was going to destroy my beauty and kill me. But I never thought he would carry out the threat.

“On Monday, January 25, he called me that he wanted to come to Ibadan to visit his children. He came on Tuesday afternoon and there was no one at home with me. I asked if I should prepare a meal for him, but he said he didn’t want to eat. At a point, he said he wanted to go and buy credit card for his phone; I offered to do it for him but he said he would go and buy it himself. “He went down the stairs and came back with a bottle. I didn’t know what was inside.

He asked me to give him my phone which I did. Suddenly, he held my neck and tried to force my mouth open in order to pour the content of the bottle into my mouth.

“I gave him a hard bite, which made the bottle to fall from his hand. I quickly stood up and raised the alarm, at the same time raced down the stairs. In the process, I fell down. My partner came to where I fell and emptied the content of the bottle on my arms and back, down to my buttocks. Thereafter, he ran away.” On what reason could be adduced for her partner’s action, Abimbola said: “He is too jealous. He didn’t want me to work. After I had the first child, I told him I wanted to go back to school, but he did not allow me.

After the second child, I expressed the desire again, but still, he refused. “Because of this, I went to learn how to be a make-up artiste and bead making. But anytime I got job to do, he would not allow me to go. Instead, he would beat me and expose my unclothedness to everyone.

Adeyemi trained as a welder but he does not have his own business; he works as a join-man with a welder like him.”

When contacted on the story, the state police image maker, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu described the incident as unfortunate, while he said that the state police Commissioner, Leye Oyebade, had put detectives on their toes to fish out the suspect so that he could be brought to book.

Open letter/advice to ibadan entertainment industry |@itz_swaggboss

(1) Here in ibadan artistes don't support each other because psychologically they think others might blow (make it) before them which they don't want to happen even in their wildest dreams.....

That's a no no! If u support that artiste today he or she will never forget you and his success story! Take it or leave it

(2) Publicists, prs, bloggers, djs and oaps see themselves as competitors even when half of ibadan doesn't know them...

Just imagine, I went for a strictly by invitation event here in ibadan, while I was sipping my vodka I heard some well known ib artistes discussing, "ehn d guy just enter industry con dey move just like dat, me wey I dey since 4years sef I still dey like this" lol....funny right??? Am still laughing here too....

Ask yourself, "am I paying my dues??? Am I connecting with the right people? What is it am not doing right? Ask the bloggers “What kinds of songs get the most hits”. “How do I create hype for my song or get Eko Hotel to host my event? Stay focused my bro/sis nobody will be richer than GOD planned for em + nobody will be poorer than GOD also planned

(3) You don't Pally with bloggers
You see yourself? After all the yanga and the blasting that you do on Twitter, you will still come back and beg the bloggers to publish and promote your songs for free. Bloggers can make or kill your songs o. don’t try us. Oh! I didn’t mention that I am a blogger too...but note d truth in my words

(4) Mugu Master 101
You might be asking yourself “Wait a minute is this guy telling me to lick boots” Well Yes! If you must also know, lick the sole and laces of your boss’s boots along. The reason I tagged this as Mugu Master 101 is because, if you can’t act as a JJC in this industry, then trust me you are going nowhere!  When I say act as a mugu, I mean be humble and gentle, act like you know no one, you have nothing and your voice is “just there” be willing to put aside your ego and listen to what the big boss in ur team says.

Even if it takes you two to four years to complete the Mugu 101 course, do so. Trust me this makes for a good “Humble Beginning” story so that when you finally sing “Fly” as Tuface did to announce his successful graduation from Kennis Music, people would be drawn to you.  Wizkid, Dbanj and 9ice did it, so you also can do it.

(5) organisers of awards in ibadan are not straight forward! (THEY ARE SELF-CENTERED)

just imaging an award organiser casting votes for special nominees just to make them bag d award just to get their links and contacts??? For crying out loud you don't need that! If your award is well organised and worth it then you should be neutral!

(6) U pay a Producer to Record a Track, you pay people to mix and master ur song but When it comes to bloggers and site owners, U'll be like "Help upload my song i will make ur site popular " You be Wizkid or Davido??

This is a warning to all the un-serious artistes!!!Blogging/Online Promotion is a serious business and not a Charity foundation for artistes Na where person dey work e dey chop.. #MindU

(7) You have recorded thousands of tracks without a video, how you want people to know ur face and know what d person that put out the audio look like? da lord is ur strength fam!

(8) Some People say Bloggers Charge them this and that, “He is suppose to upload my song for free", "Stupid Blogger"...and all that. Well do you know REAL bloggers don't sleep more than 5hours? Else its a Multi-Tasker like Me "I don't Sleep At all"

bloggers even go through heavy stress to Compile and send BC too, spend hours to maintain site, Some of us pay more than $150 annually for host "dollar now is N305" Ooo.... and one artists go come from him Village and say "Upload my song for Free" - God is watching You ooo

Disclaimer: You shouldn’t really take these points seriously although it wouldn’t hurt you to make use of some of the points listed above. See you at the top of your entertainment career.

Incase u're looking for me to beat me up or gimme money for pouring out my mind which is the real truth then feel free to write to me on twitter: @itz_swaggboss
