The nigerian Army Parades Boko Haram Spy In Bauchi (Photo)

A man alleged to be a Boko Haram spy who worked for the group to bomb the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Madalla in Niger State on Christmas Day in 2011 was yesterday paraded by the Nigerian Army in Bauchi. The blast killed 44 people and wounded 75 others.

According to the army, Victor Moses, believed to be an indigene of Benue State, was arrested in Alkaleri town of Bauchi State near a mosque, claiming he wanted to convert to Islam. He was arrested with three other suspects-Abubakar Shetima Bama, Salisu Mohammed Bello and Umar Madaki.

They were paraded before the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, at the 33 Artillery Brigade, Shadawanka Barracks in Bauchi. The Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Abraham Luka Dusu, said they were arrested on a tip-off.

“Our troops on duty in Alkaleri arrested Victor Moses after receiving a report from people in the area that the suspect had been loitering around the mosque claiming he was a Christian and wanted to convert to Islam but because he is not from the area, they suspected him and reported to our men.

“Victor Moses confessed to conducting surveillance for Boko Haram when in a shop belonging to Abubakar Shetima Bama in Jos while Salisu Mohammed Bello and Umar Madaki are based in Gombe,” he said.

Brig General Dosu said after investigation, the suspects would be handed over to the Joint Intelligent Centre in Maiduguri.

50-year old Kamoru Oladele pictured above, has been arrested for selling human parts for N25,000 and N30,000 and owning a human abattoir in Oyo and Osun states.

According to Vanguard, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, while parading him at the state Police Headquarters in Ibadan, said the breakthrough was made by the special anti-kidnapping squad of the Command after receiving intelligence report on the activities of the suspects. When interrogated, Kamoru said “I am a herbalist and I do fortune charms for people. I am not the one that usually sells human parts. I buy from some people.

This is my first time of engaging in this kind of business. I usually buy the human skull for N10,000 and sell it for N25,000 for those that come for fortune charms”.

When police searched his house, they alleged that one smoked human skull was recovered and that the suspect used coded words for different human parts.

The herbalist said the words can only be decoded by their initiates, adding that “a human head that sells for N30,000 is called agbon (coconut).” He also disclosed that the human abattoirs where the ritualist sell human parts is located at Amuloko and Kuta villages in Oyo and Osun states, respectively.

Two robbery suspects were arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday. They are Abdullahi Isiaka and another identified as Abel.

The duo, it was learnt used to be members of a four-man gang including Governor and Brigadier, who have since been arrested. They were nabbed around Ijora-Badia on Monday morning, while they were going for an operation on their motorcycle.

Unfortunately for them, policemen were raiding motorcycles flouting traffic laws in that axis, leading to their arrest and the recovery of a gun.

According to the police, Isiaka usually pleasured himself by handling the breasts of his female victims before dispossessing them of their valuables. He was said to have confessed that caressing the breasts of his female victims before robbing them made him very happy.

The suspects, it was gathered, are currently in the custody of operatives of the Federal Anti-Robbery Sqaud ( FSARS), where they disclosed their mode of operation.

It was learnt that they usually slept near the railway and during work rush hours, waylay their victims, mostly lone walkers, who they trap in their midst. He said: “They target lone figures, put the person in their middle and rob the person. Once they get a victim, Brigadier would bring out gun and order the victim to cooperate with them.

“Isiaka targets women. Once they catch a female victim, Isiaka would start caressing her breasts. He said that caressing breasts before robbing the person used to make him feel happy.” According to the source, Isiaka confessed that the gang once robbed a victim who had dollars, adding that he used his share of the loot to buy a motorcycle, which they used for easy escape. “He said he used his share of the money to buy motorcycle and after that, he started his own operation with Abel.

He said they usually robbed at Ebute-Metta, Apapa, Wharf and Ikeja and that he handles the gun,” said the police source.

Lassa Fever Kills Doctor, Nurse & Pregnant Woman In Kaduna.....

Kaduna State government has confirmed the death of three people following an outbreak of Lassa fever. The trio – a doctor, a nurse and a pregnant woman, were confirmed dead at Saint Louis Specialist Hospital, Zonkwa, Zango Kataf local government area.

The Commissioner for health in the State, Professor Jonathan Andrew Nok, told newsmen on Monday that the doctor and the nurse had symptoms of Lassa fever shortly after operating on the pregnant woman, who was brought in from another hospital in Kafanchan. He said they died few days after testing positive to the deadly disease.

Nok disclosed that the affected hospitals had been put under isolation, with a view to tracing the primary and secondary contacts with the deceased. Nok called on residents of the state not to panic. He urged them to maintain personal hygiene as well as keep their environment clean.

Court Orders EFCC And Nigeria Army To Release Jonathan’s Former ADC... (Read)

Justice Yusuf Haliru of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the EFCC and Nigerian Army to release former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Aide-de-Camp, Col. Ojogbane Adegbe on liberal terms.

Adegbe had in a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Gudu on February 25th, argued that he has been in EFCC custody since February 11 and has not been charged with any offence.

Justice Yusuf Halilu while delivering judgement on the suit this morning, ordered EFCC to release Adegbe pending his arraignment before a competent court. The judge held that Adegbe’s continued detention is unconstitutional as it violates Section 35 of the 1999 Constitution.

Adegbe was invited from the UK where he was by the Nigerian Army to answer some questions relating to the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal.

Just in! 3 female secondary school students kidnapped in Lagos

Three female students of Babington Macaulay ‎Junior Seminary School, a private boarding school in Ikorodu, Lagos, were kidnapped by gunmen at their hostel at about 8pm yesterday night. The Lagos state Police command say they are working towards getting the girls freed from their abductors. No reason has been given for the kidnap.
