Togolese strikerEmmanuel Adebayorwill wear shirt no. 25 atCrystal Palaceafter signing a six-month deal with the Premier League club. The club announced this after signing the 31-year-old on a short term deal on Tuesday, January 26.
The 31-year-old is set to earn around £70,000-per-week while former club Tottenham will be paying the remaining £30,000-per-week of his deal with them which expires in June.
Spurs terminated their contract with Adebayor last year but is still responsible for his £100,000-per-week wages if he does not join any other club who split the wages if he joins another side.
Palace manager Alan Pardew is bringing in Adebayor to solve his side’s goalscoring problems.
After a good start to the season, Palace have struggled to score goals of late and have not won in their last six Premier League games. Their highest goalscorer, Yohan Cabaye has netted just five times.
