DHB-SPORTS: Arsenal fc To Miss Out On Big Signing, See Reason!

Arsenal are in danger of missing out on signing Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to SKY. Sky sources reported earlier in August that Mustafi had agreed a moveto the Emirates, with negotiations ongoing over the transfer fee, while Arsene Wenger said over the weekend that a deal “will be done” before the transfer deadline. However, Mustafi’s buy-out clause now seems likely to prove a major stumbling block.

Balague,Sky Sports‘ Spanish football expert, said: “The coaching staff at Valencia think Mustafi will not go, and this is the same message being made by Valencia. “They insist the only way Mustafi will be allowed to leave is if Arsenal trigger his €50m (£43.1m) buy-out clause, which I think everybody will agree is too much money for him.

“Valencia’s position is such because they don’t think they can find someone to replace him, given the proximity of transfer deadline day. It’s a similar stance to the one they have with Barcelona target Paco Alcacer, or at least that’s the message they are giving out.”

“So, as things stand, neither Mustafi nor Alcacer will be leaving Valencia. I heard Arsene Wenger confirm publicly that Arsenal were in negotiations for Mustafi. That’s very rare for him to do so. Perhaps he is trying to apply some pressure on Valencia to sell.

This is The Frenchman Who Has Accepted To Coach The Super Eagles

Sportinglife can reveal exclusively today that Frenchman Paul Le Guen has tacitly accepted to coach Nigeria’s senior team, the Super Eagles in a two-year deal that is renewable based on the team’s performance.

SportingLife scooped further that the Frenchman demanded that the NFF gets him a house in Abuja where he hopes to stay and monitor the domestic league players plying their trade weekly. Indeed, Le Guen will get a house in Lagos where he would go to watch the league matches in the two stadia in Lagos and also the games in the South South, South East and South West areas of the country.

Interestingly, SportingLife reported yesterday that NFF chieftains have offered the new helmsman a whooping 40,000 Euros monthly and that the new tactician would pay for the services of his assistant and a trainer from the monthly 40,000 euros which he has accepted to earn during his three-year tenure. Le Guen, who was born 1 March 1964, is a French football manager and a former player. His last role was as manager of the Oman national football team, from which he was relieved in November 2015.

Interestingly, NFF chiefs have decided to allow the technical crew that prosecuted the two-legged ties against Egypt in Kaduna on March 25 and in Alexandria on March 29 in tact, given the remarkable manner in which they worked as a team for the games. Indeed, on Tuesday, NFF hierarchy would meet with the sports minister, Solomon Dalung where the issue of Le Guen’s employment would be exhuastibly discussed, just the NFF’s plans for the Russia 2018 World Cup competition with draws of the competition slated to hold in June.

NFF men are also toying with other options principal of which is the urgent need to fill the void that would arise in the squad when Samson Siasia head for the Rio’ 2016 Olympic Games, in the event that the minister isn’t persuaded to employ a foreign coach for the Super Eagles after the Tuesday’s meeting in Abuja. Already, the NFF have contacted renowned agents to shop for international friendly games meant to keep the Eagles busy now that the drawsfor the Russia 2018 World Cup would be held later in June.

Mourinho files and Sends Ultimatum To Manchester United football club....

If reports in British media on Friday are anything to go by, then Jose Mourinho has issued an ultimatum to Manchester United to confirm him as manager of the club and end all the prolonged speculations about his future.

According to reports in The Sun UK, the ‘Special One’, now tired of waiting to hear Manchester United speak, has given the Old Trafford management May deadline to approach him with management offer even as Red Devils mull Mauricio Pochettino of Tottenham Hotspurs.

The tabloid reports: “Jose Mourinho has given Ed Woodward (Manchester United executive vice chairman) a month to get his act together and put a formal offer on the table for the Manchester United job.” The reports says further that so tired of the whole game is the former Chelsea manager that his agent, Jorge Mendes ‘has started the clock on the Old Trafford club, with the Red Devils executive vice chairman scouting out a move for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’.

Job offers are coming in for the Portuguese coach — who wants to nick an appointment before the start of the summer transfer window. The tabloid analyses that Manchester United’s slowness could cost it big time should Mourinho move on. “Missing out on Mourinho would be a huge risk for United, especially if they fail to reach the Champions League and Tottenham does.

“In this case if the club drag their heels they could miss out on both Pochettino AND Mourinho, with Louis van Gaal still having a year to run on his contract. “If there is no offer on the table by May, Woodward would face a tense wait to see if LVG can get them back into the Champions League. Given United’s up-and-down form this season, there is no guarantee that will happen.
